The resort features 121 elegantly appointed rooms, suites, beachside & hillside villas. All are fully equipped and decorated in an elegant and contemporary Thai style design.
Sixteen clusters of two-storied buildings reflecting southern Thai style architecture, each cluster contains four rooms. Rooms have over 500 square feet of space (including balcony) of living space with natural teak wood floor; the bedroom equipped with king-size or twin beds.
Each room is equipped with a king-size bed and has over 750 square feet of living space (including a very large balcony with a superb view of the bay). The large bathroom features a bathtub overlooking the bay, separate walk-in shower.
Pavilion Suites are available with one or two bedrooms, offering a living space from 1,200 square feet up to 1,830 square feet. A separate lounge with outside wooden sun deck opens onto the bay as well as onto a private miniature garden planted with ferns and tropical plants. A corridor leads into the bedroom and the bathroom. Featured in the oversized bathroom is a bathtub overlooking another secluded manicured garden which is also equipped with an open-air shower.
Hidden away among coconut palms and lush tropical vegetation, there are units. A swimming pool is there exclusively for the guests of the Beach Villas One Bedroom.
The largest villa on the estate, It offers a living space of 7,000 sq ft, a 500 sq ft private infinity-edge swimming pool; also a large A/C living and dining room. The three bedrooms are located on 2 levels and are not interconnected. It also features a large outdoor terrace and an entertainment room. A private walkway leads to the beach down below.
The Hillside Villas are available in one, two, or three bedrooms. The One-Bedroom Villa has a total living area of 2,200 square feet built on a piece of hilly land and nestled amongst the trees. Spacious, elegant and unpretentious in their architectural design, they provide commanding views of Ba Kan Tiang Bay, the Andaman Sea, and the surrounding lush tropical forest. The villa consists of a master bedroom facing the bay, featured in the adjacent large bathroom is a Rainâ Shower™, and a large bathtub set behind a window panel overlooking the bay. The bedroom opens onto a spacious sundeck, featuring a private 215 square feet infinity-edge swimming pool and a Thai entertainment room allowing private Spa treatment whenever needed. Across the sundeck, the spacious living room, which features a kitchenette and a small bathroom, opens onto a balcony terrace. The living room existing large sofa bed can be converted into a bed. Some of the villas are designed with 2 bedrooms offering a living space of over 3,000 square feet; the second bedroom is located on a lower floor underneath the master bedroom.
The three bedrooms Villa offers a very spacious with a combined living space of over 4,500 square feet. These are built on 2 levels and feature dining & living rooms area, and a swimming pool. These are perfect for large families or couples traveling together.

Pimalai Resort & Spa has enhanced its hygiene and safety protocols in line with the “new normal” of travel and hospitality. “Pimalai Care” is an initiative that includes innovative measures such as 24-hour vacancy periods between bookings, three disinfection tunnels, ozone sanitization in the guest rooms, and heat cleaning in the kitchens.
As the world gets ready to travel again, Pimalai Resort & Spa has devised a comprehensive action plan that encompasses every step of the guest journey, bringing total reassurance to its customers while maintaining the high quality of its service and its authentic Thai hospitality.
“At Pimalai, the health and safety of our guests and staff is always our highest priority,” said Patrice Landrein, Pimalai’s General Manager. “That is why we are stepping up all our precautionary measures, in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Thai authorities. A dedicated Hygiene Manager has been appointed to implement and monitor “Pimalai Care”. Thanks to these new protocols and our unique secluded setting, customers can book in complete confidence. Privacy and social distancing are already guaranteed at Pimalai, thanks to the location and layout of the resort, which is nestled in 100 acres of tropical jungle on the quiet southern tip of Koh Lanta. Accommodation is spread throughout the estate and villas are separated by lush vegetation and spaced by at least two meters. There are no corridors and elevators. All public areas, pools, and F&B outlets are in the open-air, and outdoor activities can be organized in total safety on the long, private beach. On top of these measures, Pimalai has acquired additional golf carts to quickly carry guests around the estate in smaller groups.

In terms of hygiene and sanitization, “Pimalai Care” includes the decisive step of leaving a 24-hour vacancy between two bookings. During this period, a deep cleaning following hospital standards and ozone sterilization of guest rooms will take place. The same protocols will apply in all public areas, using hospital-grade sanitizers. In the kitchens, Pimalai will use electrical heat to disinfect its equipment.
Temperatures will be checked when guests arrive at Pimalai Resort & Spa
All staff, visitors, and guests will have their temperatures checked upon arrival at the resort and before entering the spa. Located at key strategic gates, three sterilization tunnels will also be set up to disinfect people and luggage in total safety through automatic spray nozzles. In case of any emergency, Pimalai’s private boat and the car can quickly reach the main hospital in Krabi. All employees will wear masks and kitchen staff will have face shields. Hand gel dispensers will also be available in public areas and masks will become a standard amenity in every room.
With this new comprehensive “Pimalai Care” action plan now in place, the resort will reopen on 9 July and will launch attractive packages to enable guests to unwind in privacy and reconnect with their loved ones, surrounded by nature.
